Vegan Roast

Mind your salt. I would guess that salt is optional because some brands of meat substitute are extremely salty. That said, Loma Linda Vege-Burger brand (which I would guess is what this calls for) actually isn’t especially high in sodium with 5% of your daily value per serving.

From a box sold in Chicago, Illinois.

Roast

1 can vegeburger or ground gluten–primeburger
Vary–sage–may use 2 kinds

1/2-3/4 cup chopped nuts–walnuts, vary

1/2-3/4 cup oatmeal (cooked, preferably)

1 clove garlic, pressed or mashed

1 fair sized onion (2 inch in diameter), chopped

1/4 [2/4 as a note] salt, vegeburger

1 tsp. chicken seasoning

(1 Tbsp. soy sauce, optional)

2 Tbsp. oil–stir and form into loaf. Bake 375 for about an hour.

See corn in oven.

Canned soy beans. Garbanzos and lentils probably same way.
