Franny’s Shrimp Casserole

“Serve with a tossed green salad, Italian bread, coffee, date pie.”

Franny’s Shrimp Casserole

Shell and clean 2 lbs. raw or frozen shrimp.

Brown 1/3 finely chopped onion in 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine with 1 or 2 minced garlic cloves. Into a casserole put the onion, garlic, shrimp, 1 cup raw rice, 1 large can tomatoes, 2 cups chicken bouillon. The seasonings are the trick here.

Add small piece of bay leaf, 3 Tablespoons chopped parsley, 1/2 teaspoon cloves, 1/2 teaspoon marjoram, 1 teaspoon chili powder, dash of cayenne, 1 Tablespoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.

Cover [tightly?] — bake 1-1/2 hours in 350 deg. oven.
