Sour Cream Coffee Cake
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream (commercial)
1 tsp. vanilla
[1/2 tsp. almond extract]
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream and vanilla and 1/2 tsp. almond. Pour in buttered 9×9 or 9×13 pan.
Topping
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped pecans
1 Tbsp. butter, last
Mix together well and sprinkle over butter.
Bake 325 deg. 35 to 40 minutes. Some ovens require only 30 minutes.
