Boiled Dressing

Boiled Dressing

Ingredients:

1 t. cornstarch
1/2 t. mustard
1 T. sugar
1/2 t. salt
1 egg
1 speck red pepper
2/3 c. milk
3 t. butter
1/4 c. vinegar

Method:

Mix dry ingredients, beat egg and add to dry ingredients, then the melted butter, the milk, last of all the vinegar. Cook mixture in double boiler stirring it constantly until it thickens. Strain and chill.
