Made with crushed peppermint candy and marshmallows.
From a box sold in Nampa, Idaho.
2 cups chocolate cookies
1/2 cup soft butter
1/2 pound marshmallows
3/4 cup hot milk
1 pint plus 1/3 cup whipping cream
3/ 4cup crushed peppermint candy
few drops red food coloring
Blend cookie crumbs and soft butter. Shape mixture into 8″ pie pan. Chill.
Melt marshmallows in hot milk.
Whip cream until stiff.
Fold candy, food coloring, and whipped cream into marshmallow mixture.
Turn into pie shell. Top with crushed peppermint. Freeze.
Yields 2 pies.
