Apple-Sauce Nut Bread

With nutmeg, but I think cinnamon would help.

Apple-Sauce Nut Bread

2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup thick applesauce
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup Kraft oil (Or any kind)
1 cup chopped nuts
1 egg, well beaten

Mix sifted dry ingredients and nuts together. Combine egg, apple sauce and oil. Add to dry ingredients and stir until just blended. Pour into a 5 x 9″ greased loaf pan and bake in moderate oven 350 deg. for 50 [repeated: 50] minutes.
