Meatballs
2 lbs. hamburger
1 tsp. salt
1 cup dry bread crumbs
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp. sage
1 small onion
1/2 cup celery diced
1 can mushroom soup
1 can celery soup
3/4 cup milk
Mix first 8 ingredients together and blend well. Form into balls. Brown in skillet and place the balls in a casserole. Cover with soup and milk mixed together. Bake at 350 deg. for 45 minutes or 1 hour.

Yesterdish suggestion: Fresh bread crumbs, as opposed to dry, would work just as well and are a lot lower in calories, not that this is a diet recipe. But when you think about it, when you bite into a meatball, you want it to have some amount of give, and fresh bread crumbs achieve that more easily.
