Chicken-Rice Casserole

Noodle soup mix, almonds, brown rice and sausage, too.

Chicken-Rice Casserole

One 5 lb. hen (I use fryers) cooked and cut in pieces
1 medium size bunch celery, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 lb. sausage, crumble and fry
1 pkg. Lipton’s Noodle Soup cooked in 4-1/2 c. chicken stock, 7 minutes
[1 cup brown rice, uncooked]
[1/4 lb. slivered almonds]

Put chicken on bottom layer of large aluminum cake pan (9 x 13), then one cup uncooked brown rice (I have used plain white rice too).

Combine soup, sausage, celery, onion and 1/4 lb. slivered almonds and pour over rice and chicken. Cover pan with foil and bake 1-1/2 hours at 350 deg.
