Brown Sugar Meringue

A topping for a pie, especially pumpkin or chestnut.

From a box sold in Winsted, Connecticut.

Brown Sugar Meringue

Beat 2 egg whites until they hold a [something?].

Slowly add 1 cup sifted light brown sugar. Bat until smooth. Spread over raw batter; sprinkle with 1 cup nut meats.

Moderate oven, 50 minutes.
