Vegetable Soup

Starting with a peck of tomatoes.

From the box of A.D. from Lutz, Florida, by way of Pennsylvania in the 1940s, and originating in Ohio in the 1920s.

Vegetable Soup

1 peck ripe tomatoes
1 dozen ears corn
2 quarts carrots
2 green peppers
2 red peppers
2 heads cabbage
6 stalks celery
4 Tablespoons salt
1 dozen large onions
pepper and parsley
5 qts. water

Boil 1 hour and seal.
