Christmas Cakes

A cupcake flavored with nutmeg.

From the box of A.D. from Lutz, Florida, by way of Pennsylvania in the 1940s, and originating in Ohio in the 1920s.

Christmas Cakes

Cream 2/3 cup butter; beat in one cup sugar.

yolks of four eggs, beaten light
1 Tbsp. of milk
1-1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. of nutmeg, and
whites of four eggs beaten dry.

Bake in small tins. Recipe, enough for one dozen cakes. Frost with confectioners sugar frosting.
