Gold Cake
3 Tbsp. shortening
yolks of 2 eggs
1-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. flavoring [vanilla]
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
3 tsp. baking powder
Cream butter. Add sugar gradually and egg yolks beaten until thick; add flavoring.
Sift flour and baking powder and add alternately with milk to the first mixture. Bake in loaf pan, 35 to 45 minutes.
