Prune Cake

Prunes, sugar, cinnamon, and ginger.

Prune Cake

1 cup of prunes
1/2 cup of shortening
2 cups of flour
1 cup of walnuts
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp. of cinnamon
1 tsp. of ginger
1 tsp. of cloves
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Beat all together.

Icing
2 egg whites
3/4 cup of sugar
1/4 c. white Karo syrup
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
