Raisin Oatmeal Cookies

With quick oats, vanilla, and brown sugar.

Raisin Oatmeal Cookies

2/3 c. shortening, melted
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
1 c. sifted flour
1 t. salt
1 t. baking powder
2 c. quick oats, uncooked
1 c. raisins

Beat together shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients; add to shortening mixture; beat well. Stir in oats and raisins.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees 15 to 20 minutes.

Makes about 5 dozen.
