Brown Sugar Nut Cookies

From a box sold in Warren, Michigan.
This box was a birthday gift to AdGo from Julie at Thanks MmBe!


1 cup brown sugar
3/4 stick butter
1-1/2 cups flour
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 full cup nuts

Cream sugar with butter; add egg yolks; mix well.

Sift, measure, and sift flour with baking powder; add to first mixture. Little flour to nuts and fold in.

Add vanilla.

Bake in well-greased cookie sheets dropping small amount from spoon. Leave space between cookie drops; when toothpick comes out clean they are done.

Do not remove from cookie sheet until cold.
