Easy English Toffee

With nuts.

From a box sold in Adams, Minnesota, with ephemera from Ohio.

Easy English Toffee

1 stick of butter
2 Tbsp. water
1/8 tsp. soy lecithin (health food store)

Cook to combine and add 1 c. sugar. Bring to 300 deg. on candy thermometer.

Chopped nuts in pan, then broken chocolate on top of nuts; pour hot syrup over, then pat on more nuts and cool.
