Skillet Buttery Cinnamon Apples

Skin-on apple halves in a cinnamon and sugar sauce.

Skillet Buttery Cinnamon Apples

1/3 c. butter–melt in skillet and stir in
1/2 to 3/4 c. white sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch

Mix well and add:
1-1/2 c. apple cider (or water)
1/3 to 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and add
4 medium apples, cored and cut in 1/2 (leave unpeeled–place in skillet skin side down).

Cover; cook over medium heat; spoon syrup over occasionally until apples are fork tender and sauce thickened.

Time: about 12 to 15 minutes.
