Buckwheat Pilaf

With marjoram, thyme, and rosemary.

From a box sold in Nampa, Idaho.

Buckwheat Pilaf

Bring to boil:

  • 2-1/4 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 tsp. chicken stock base

Add: 1/2 c. white rice. Stir.

Boil for 5 minutes. (Simmer.)

Add:

  • 1/4 cup buckwheat groats.
  • 1/4 cup bulgar wheat
  • To taste:
    • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. marjoram
    • 1/8 tsp. thyme
    • 1/8 tsp. rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable flakes (dried)
  • 1/2 tsp. Accent

Simmer 15 more minutes. Water will be absorbed. Serve.
