I separated them out anyway, since, y’know, streusel pancakes and streusel ice cream are delicious things.
From a box sold in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Streusel Filled Coffee Cake
1-1/2 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Sift flour once before measuring. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together. (Cut in fat with 2 knives or rub it in with fingers until fine.)
Add beaten egg mixed with milk, add vanilla and mix well.
Pour half the batter into a well-greased and floured square pan. Sprinkle with half the filling. Add remaining batter and sprinkle the other half of filling over top.
Bake 1-1/2 hours. Temperature 375 deg.

Streusel Filling
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. butter (melted)
1/2 cup nuts (chopped)
Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon together. Then blend in the melted butter and stir in the nuts. Mix well and use as described above.
