Sweet Pickle Sticks

Seasoned with mustard seed and celery seed.

From the box of Evia Marie Sands of Louisville, Kentucky.

Sweet Pickle Sticks

Use fresh firm medium cucumbers.

Wash and cut into sticks. Pour boiling water over them and let stand overnight.

Next morning, pack solidly into jars. Make a solution of:
3-3/4 cups vinegar
4-1/2 tsp. celery seed
3 cups sugar
4-1/2 tsp. turmeric
3 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. mustard seed

Boil the solution 5 minutes. Pour boiling hot over the cucumbers in jars. Process in boiling water bath for 5 minutes.

Makes 6 pints.
