Yi’s Green Bean Casserole

A version that doesn’t use canned cream of mushroom soup.

Green Bean Casserole — Yi’s

2 pkg. French style frozen, thawed, green beans
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can French fried onions, crumbled
1 c. water chestnuts, sliced
1 (can bean) Fresh sprouts
2 c. cream sauce
grated cheese

In 2 by 7 casserole layer 1/2 the beans with 1/2 the water chestnuts, 1/2 the bean sprouts, 1/2 the mushrooms, and 1/2 the chopped onions. Cover with 1/2 cream sauce. Sprinkle lightly with salt, cheese.

Repeat layering.

Bake 400 deg. 30 minutes. Topping fried onions. Last 10 minutes, cream sauce.
