I can only guess what this is for.
Obviously, it’s not exactly food. But technically, lanolin is edible, as long as you don’t mind eating a waxy substance secreted by sheep. So my guess would be that this is a lotion for nursing mothers, as babies tend not to have strong feelings about lanolin.
That said, some people are allergic to lanolin, so factor that in before you rush out to recreate this (which I’m sure you were just about to do).

Lanolin — (1 lb. jar)
Honey — Mix with lanolin till smooth
Olive Oil — Mix until creamy
1 bottle good French white wine (or good vinegar)
1 oz. oil of lavender (or rose, etc. for perfume)
