Strawberry Preserves
1-1/2 pints sugar
1 qt. strawberries
Boil sugar with just enough water to melt until it will spin a thread. Add berries and boil 10 minutes; pour out in flat pan or plate to cool. Stir often so the berries will fill with juice.
Can when cold. 2 quarts berries makes 3 pints.
