Clam Dip

This was a popular 1950s and 1960s appetizer. Sue Dawson, former food editor of The Columbus Dispatch , attributes an early 1950s Kraft Music Hall commercial advertising clam dip with inspiring New Yorkers to purchase canned clams in droves.

Clam Dip

8 oz. Philadelphia Cream Cheese
2 tsp. lemon juice
1-1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. drained minced clams
1/2 c. clam juice

Rub bowl with garlic and whip up all ingredients together.
