Hot Chicken Casserole

When you see a recipe that calls for grated American cheese, you know it’s of a certain age. Sadly, I have no idea how to figure out when jalapenos were 47 cents a can.

From a box sold in San Antonio, Texas.

Hot Chicken Casserole

1 large hen, cooked
1 package tortillas, cut into fourths
1 can jalapenos (about 47 cent size)
1 onion, minced
American cheese, grated — about 1 lb. or more to taste
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Large can PET milk
Paprika

Layer this — can be made the day before or frozen. Bake until bubbly. Good served with marinated green bean salad.
