German Date Pudding

With walnuts.

From the box of J.L. from Westborough, Massachusetts.

German Date Pudding

1 c. pitted dates
1 c. broken walnuts
1 c. sugar
salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. flour

Stir sugar, eggs, and salt. (Do not beat egg separately.) Add flour and baking powder, then dates and nuts. Mix well. Slow oven 3/4 hour.
