Basil And Oregano Vinegar
Rinse the fresh basil and oregano and pat dry.
Fill 3/4 of a glass quart jar with the herbs and bruise with a wooden spoon. Add 3 cups of cider vinegar and cover. (Plastic wrap first if the lid is metal.)
Let stand for 3 weeks. Then strain into a gift bottle. Add a fresh sprig of either herb if desired.
