Chocolate-Bit Cookies

Made with cream cheese.

Chocolate Bit Cookies
(Three dozen)

1/2 cup fat
2/3 cup honey
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sour cream
2-1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 cup scraped sweet chocolate

Cream fat and add sugar. Lightly mix in rest of ingredients. Chill dough. Drop portions onto greased baking sheet. Flatten each cooky. Bake 10 minutes in moderate oven.

Chocolate-Bit Cookies

1 cup shortening
1-1/4 cup sugar
1 (3 oz.) cream cheese
1 tsp. orange flavoring
1/4 tsp. lemon
2 cups flour
2/3 [tsp.?] salt
1 (6 oz.) chocolate bits
[2 eggs, beaten]

Cream shortening, sugar, and cheese. Add orange, lemon to eggs; add the mixture to creamed mixture; mix.

Sift flour with salt into mixture. Add chocolate bits.

Grease cookie sheet. Drop by teaspoonfuls. 350 degrees, 15-16 minutes.
