Refrigerator Strawberry Torte
1 pkg. strawberry Jell-o
1 white of egg
3/4 cup sugar
1 pt. whipping cream
1 lb. macaroon snaps
1 qt. fresh strawberries, cut in quarters.
Dissolve Jell-o in 1 cup hot water. Let cool. Roll out snaps; whip cream; mix cream and egg white and beat again. Add Jell-o (which has set just a little). Add cut strawberries.
Line bottom of springform with rolled macaroon crumbs. Alternate layer of mixture and then crumbs; end with crumbs on top. Let stand 12 or 24 hours.
