From a stapled collection of recipes from my preschool, c. 1982, in University Heights, Ohio.
Gingerbread (?) Houses
Frosting
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Beat five minutes with electric mixer. Cover with damp cloth to keep moist (if not using right away).
We used 1/2 pint milk cartons–small nuts and candies and lots of imagination–Graham crackers (6 per house) were buttered and attached to the carton–decorations added as needed!
