Nut Bread

A sweetened quick bread. Temperature wasn’t specified but I’d guess, based on the recipe and the time involved, about 350F.

From a box sold in Columbiaville, Michigan.

Nut Bread (as written on the card)

Sift together 5 times:
4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
6 teaspoons baking powder

1 cup nut-meats chopped fine, and
1 1/2 cups milk.

Stir till smooth. Turn into bread pan and let stand 20 minutes, then bake 40 minutes.
