Berry Cobbler

Kool-Aid in a cobbler? That makes me wanna yell, “Oh yeah!” and burst through a wall!

From the box of S.H. of Marshall, Missouri.

Berry Cobbler — Cherries, peaches, etc.

9 x 13 pan, 1/2 full berries

2 c. sugar

  • 2 t. baking powder
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/8 t. salt
    (Can substitute self-rising flour)

6 T. butter or oil
1 c. milk

Combine and spread over berries.

Combine:
1 c. sugar
2 T. cornstarch

Sprinkle over top.

Then pour 2/3 c. boiling water over top. Bake 350 deg. 45-50 minutes.

Thelma’s berry-peach cobbler

Melt 1/2 stick butter and rub in pan; add 1 c. sugar, 3/4 c. milk, 2 tsp. baking powder. Add hot? sweetened fruit on top (2 c.).

Bake.

(Can add Jell-o or Kool-aid for color and enhance flavor.)
