Mabel’s Ohh-So-Good Christmas Punch

A recipe similar to many in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Here’s a version that substitutes Jell-o and fruit punch for the cranberry juice from the November 23, 1977 edition of the Logansport (Indiana) Pharos Tribune:

1 large can Hawaiian fruit punch
1 large can orange drink
1 pk. large strawberry Jell-o
1 cup sugar
1 can frozen pink lemonade

1 bottle ginger ale (before serving)
1 qt. vodka

And here’s a version with white rum from the December 16, 1982 edition of the Kokomo (Indiana) Tribune:

Cranberry punch

2 bottles cranberry juice cocktail
2 bottles ginger ale
1-1/4 cups white rum
1 small can pink lemonade

Combine ingredients and serve chilled.

From the box of F.J. from Sun City, Arizona. Some cards suggest a family history in Missouri and Kansas.

Mabel’s Ohh-So-Good Christmas Punch

2 large cans pink lemonade (4-1/2 cans H20 to each)
1/2 gal. cranberry juice
1 large bottle ginger ale

5 parts punch to 1 part vodka
