From a clipped bit of a letter written on a box of some kind.
Here’s the other side of the recipe. I haven’t figured out what this image is from, but I can tell you that I’m almost disturbed that I can search for “mouse holding balloons and a flower” and not get any pornography. C’mon Internet, get your head in the game.
From the box of F.J. from Sun City, Arizona. Some cards suggest a family history in Missouri and Kansas.
[Carrot Casserole]
[Ingredients:
1 lb. carrots
1 onion
butter
1 can cream of celery soup
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can water chestnuts, price tag obscured
1 cup buttered stuffing croutons (Kellogg’s discontinued theirs in 2010)
Butter for browning onion and dressing croutons]
[…] but mostly this weather I think. Had good casserole. 1 lb. carrots cooked almost tender. Put in casserole and brown an onion in butter and add with 1 can cream of celery soup, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese and can water chestnuts (don’t look at price), top with Kellogg’s Croutells [croutons?], 1 cup buttered. Bake 30 minutes at 350 deg. Good!
Thanks for letters. Take care now. Love, Sis + Mom.
