Ice Cream

A recipe stabilized by cornstarch and flour.

FROM THE DESK OF — Donna Drum

Ice Cream

1 qt. milk — put in double boiler; add
1 cup sugar
2 T. flour
2 T. cornstarch
yolks of 5 eggs, beaten lightly.

Blend sugar, flour, cornstarch. When thick, take from stove add the beaten egg whites and 1 more cup of sugar.

Let cool and add cream, milk and vanilla. Freeze.

2 qts. milk and 1 qt. cream fills 1-1/2 gallon freezer.
