Peanut Butter Cookies

What is it about the criss-crossed fork impressions? Does the increased surface area make more surfaces to taste “toasty,” or do we just like the look of the things?

Peanut Butter Cookies

Cream:

  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. peanut butter

2 eggs beaten, light
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda

[To creamed mixture] add beaten eggs; add sifted dry ingredients; roll into small balls. Criss-cross with fork.

Bake 400 deg. almost 15 minutes.
