Oil-based pie crusts tend to be thin and mild-tasting. Some people like them because they don’t involve waiting. I don’t think there’s a One True Way where pie crust is concerned, but generally speaking, I find oil crusts not to have enough body for my tastes, but your results may vary. If you like thin crusts on pies, this is a good option.

Crisco Oil Pie Crust
Makes 1 large or 2 small pies.
Mix together:
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 T. sugar
- 1/4 t. salt
Add:
- 2 T. milk
- 1/2 c. Crisco oil
Mix together with fork. Press in bottom of pan. Shape sides with large spoon.
