Frozen Cranberry Salad, Peppermint Ice Cream and Date Ice Box Cake

From a box sold in San Antonio, Texas.

Frozen Cranberry Salad (as written on the page)

1 lb. cranberries
3 apples
20 marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 cup cream, whipped

Grind cranberries, apples, and cut marshmallows. Add nuts + sugar + mix well.

Place in refrid. 30 minutes.

Fold celery and whipped cranberry mixture.

Peppermint Ice Cream (as written on the page)

1/2 lb. peppermint stick candy
pinch salt
2 cups whipped cream
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon gelatin
1/4 cup water

Dissolve candy in milk. Heating, add gelatin. Add salt + cool.

Pour into mixing bowl + chill in ice box, add whipped cream + pour in icebox + freeze.

Date Ice Box Cake (as written on the page)

1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup dates sliced
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1 cup cut marshmallows
1/4 cup milk or orange juice
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup cream, whipped

Crush crackers. Reserve 2 tablespoon crackers.

Place in mixing bowl + add ingred. fold in whipped cream. Shape into cylinder with hands. Roll in crumbs + wrap in waxed paper. Chill 12 to 24 hours.
