A gelatin salad using frozen grape juice and fresh cherries.
From a box sold in East Moline, Illinois.
1 can frozen juice and water
2 pkgs. gelatin
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 t. salt
6 T. lemon juice
1/2 c. nuts
1 c. celery
1 c. cherries (Royal Anne, white, or Bing)
Mix 1 can grape juice with 3 cans cold water. Dissolve gelatin in 1 c. juice, add salt, sugar, and 2 c. grape juice, heated. Stir until sugar dissolves.
Add lemon juice. Chill until lightly set and add remaining ingredients. Chill.
