Here’s a similar (but cheaper) version from the May 29, 1965 edition of the Winnipeg Free Press:
Sparkling Wine Punch
2 lb. package frozen strawberries Place strawberries in large mixing bowl; sprinkle with sugar. Pour on one bottle rose wine. Cover. Let stand at room temperature one hour. Strain. Pour into large punch bowl. Stir in undiluted frozen concentrate. Add block of ice. Pour in soda water down side of bowl. Add remaining rose wine. Garnish with orange and lemon slices. Yield: 30 five-ounce punch cups. |
