Citrus much? I’m not sure how this molded salad and frozen limeade ended up hanging out together, but I have a hunch the first recipe will see more action than the second.
From a box sold in Canby, Oregon.
Lime Frappe
1/2 c. sugar
1-1/2 c. water
1/2 c. lime juice
salt
Boil sugar 3 min. Add juice. Cool.
Then freeze. Serve in punch glasses mushy.
Sunshine Salad
1 pkg. lemon gelatin
1 pt. boiling water
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped carrot
1/4 green pepper cut fine
1 c. shredded cabbage
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. lemon juice
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. When it congeals add other ingredients. Mold.
