Banana Bread

I use leftover banana bread to make french toast. And then using sugar and bananas, I make a banana caramel to pour over it. I’ll fill out a Yesterdish recipe card for that one of these days.

From a box sold in Columbiaville, Michigan.

Banana Bread

1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
3 mashed bananas
Pinch salt
1 t. soda
1/2 t. baking powder
1 3/4 c. flour

Mix in order given and bake in a slow oven 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Yesterdish suggestion: Try 350 degrees as the oven temperature.

    Sounds like a winner. Did you ever post the banana caramel? (In ref to the banana bread recipe…Michigan). Stumbled on your blog and think it’s a great idea.
