Rum Sauce

“Pour over apple nut pudding or other goodies.”

From a box sold in San Antonio, Texas.

Rum Sauce

1 c. water
1 stick oleo
1 c. sugar
2 T. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. butter flavoring
2 tsp. rum flavoring

Bring to a boil in medium saucepan water and margarine. Sift together in a medium size bowl sugar, flour and salt and add to margarine and water mixture.

Add vanilla, butter flavoring and rum flavor and let cook until it bubbles. Serve hot pouring rum sauce over apple nut pudding or other goodies.
