Baker Cake Frosting
1/2 cup oleo
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup warm milk
vanilla
Cream oleo and shortening first, then add sugar.
Vanilla Frosting method provided by Yesterdish: Cream together margarine and shortening; then add confectioner’s sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract while beating till smooth. When incorporated, slowly beat in milk until it reaches the desired consistency. Spread at room temperature.
“No Cook” Marshmallow Frosting
1/4 tsp. salt
2 egg whites
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup white Karo syrup
1 1/4 tsp. Vanilla
Marshmallow Frosting method provided by Yesterdish: Beat egg whites and salt to soft peaks, then add sugar slowly, beating till smooth. Next, stream in Karo syrup, still beating. At the end, fold vanilla into mixture.
