Sour Sweet Pork

Or sweet and sour pork.

Sour Sweet Pork

2-1/2 lbs. pork
1 onion, sliced
2 cups water
1 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. soy sauce

Bring to boil and simmer for 50 minutes. Drain off meat broth; skim off fat–set broth aside.

Sauce

1/3 cup sugar
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
4 Tbsp. cider vinegar
1/3 cup pineapple juice
2/3 cup pineapple tidbits
2 green peppers, sliced

Broth from meat. Blend sugar, cornstarch, and pineapple juice until smooth. Softly stir in meat broth. Stir over medium heat until sauce is thick (5 minutes). Add pineapple cubes and green pepper.
