Mints
1/4 c. sweetened condensed milk
1/4 c. confectioner’s sugar
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
1-1/2 c. halves of walnut meats
Slowly add milk to sugar and blend. Add extract and mix until creamy. Form into fondant balls for nuts, or make flat discs for mints.
Spiced Grape Juice Cocktail
1 pt. juice
1/4 tsp. cinnamon and nutmeg, each
speck of powder of cloves
Combine in saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes. Strain through cheesecloth and chill.
Serve as first course, either at table or in living room.
