This recipe seems to have as many variations as pink lemonade.

Pink Pineapple Punch for Circus Party
[Excerpt.] The recipe for the punch: Two cups canned unsweetened pineapple juice, one-half cup grapefruit a juice, one-fourth cup raspberry syrup, one cup ginger ale, sliced oranges and maraschino cherries, ice cubes or crushed ice. Mix fruit juice and raspberry syrup and chill in refrigerator. (If fresh raspberry juice is used, add three tablespoons sugar.) When ready to serve add ginger ale, sliced fruit and ice. This makes six to seven servings. |

Pink pineapple punch: To once cup of sugar and two cups of water add 1/4 cup cinnamon drops and heat until the drops dissolve. Cool and add 1/2 cup lemon juice and two 1-pint 2-ounce cans of unsweetened pineapple juice. Before serving, add a pint chilled ginger ale. Serve over ice. Enough for seven standard measuring cups.

Here’s a menu which will charm children as well as provide them with a nourishing meal. Pink pineapple punch is just chilled pineapple juice with a little maraschino cherry juice mixed in it. The vegetable soup is as easy to prepare as opening a can.

But the mention of Dole suggests the version here most likely dates to the late 1950s, and is the one mentioned in this item from the September 29, 1959 Charleston (West Virginia) Daily Mail:

Chicago, Ill. — The nation’s food editors had quite an excursion this evening: from Hawaii to Canada. But it all took place at the Ambassador West Hotel, here in Chicago.
The Dole Pineapple Co. hosted an authentic Hawaiian Hoolaulea reception. We were greeted at teh door of the Hall of the Four Georges with fragrant flour leis, then sampled Party Pink Pineapple Punch and Pupus (hors d’oeuvres in Hawaiian). Palm trees, travel posters, and even a replica of the first goddess Pele decorated the room, and our hosts and hostesses wore gay Hawaiian costumes–the men in Hawaiian shirts and the women in muumuus and sarongs. |

Party Pink Pineapple Punch
1 4 [pack] (6 oz.) can Dole pineapple juice
1 cup lemon juice, frozen or fresh
1 cup sugar
1 pt. bottle cranberry juice
2 qts. bottles ginger ale
Have ingredients well chilled, combine first 4 and stir well. For bubbles, add ginger ale at last minute before serving. Makes 32 4-oz. punch cup servings or enough for two dinner glass servings for 8.
Must close and get this out so the mail man will pick it up.
