I guess I called this one correctly. Still, it felt out of place with the twins.
And here’s copy number four. Why are there so many copies of this recipe? I’m not sure. Is it the world’s best recipe? Seems doubtful. I’d always assumed the world’s best recipe would have more bacon.

Popcorn Balls
3 c. sugar
1 c. syrup
1/2 t. cream of tartar
1/2 c. boiling water
butter size of walnut
about 1 T. paraffin
Cook till it forms soft ball in water
Popcorn Balls method (provided by Yesterdish)
Skip the paraffin. Use 6 quarts of popped corn. Put the popcorn into deep baking dishes that have been well-greased with butter.
When soft ball stage is reached, pour candy mixture over popcorn and stir. With buttered hands, form balls. This volume should make 45 popcorn balls. Or one really, really, really big popcorn ball.
Place balls on parchment to cool.
