Irish-Italian Spaghetti

Uhm… yes… yes, it is different than most recipes.

From a box sold in San Antonio, Texas.

Irish-Italian Spaghetti

1 onion
2 T. salad oil
1 lb. ground beef
1 t. salt
1/4 t. black pepper
1 8 oz. pkg. spaghetti
1 can tomato soup
1 can mushroom soup
dash pepper
1/2 t. chili powder
1/2 t. Tabasco sauce
1/2 cup grated cheese

Brown onion in salad oil; add meat + brown. Add all seasonings. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add soups and simmer 45 minutes. Serve over hot spaghetti. Sprinkle with cheese. Do not dilute soups. (over)

Bess. I like this recipe very much> It’s different than most recipes. Thought you might like to try it.

This recipe has been a family favorite for generations! I omit the grated cheese and add canned mushrooms and fresh minced garlic. I do tend to go a little heavier on the red pepper chili powder and tobascco, as we like the kick! Also I think that the recipe tasted better if you double it or more!!!
