Dandelion Wine

On second thought–yes, yes, I will weed the garden.

From the box of D.E. from Maumee, Ohio.

Dandelion Wine

Pour 2 gallons of boiling water over one quart of packed dandelion blossom.

Set aside for 2 hours–no longer. Strain, then add 5 lbs. sugar, 3 lemons, 3 oranges, sliced and boil ten minutes. Set aside to cool.

When lukewarm pour into crock and add one cake of yeast. Cover with cloth and let stand 48 hours.

Strain and bottle. Cap or put cork in lightly. Wine is good in two weeks.
